A new milestone: Hirevalu has been accepted into the AUC Venture Lab Spring 2026 cohort.

AUC Venture Lab is Egypt’s first university-based startup accelerator and one of the most established in Africa. Its programme exists to take early technical companies and push them toward being viable, scalable and investment-ready. For a team building infrastructure for hiring, that combination of technical scrutiny and regional network is exactly the right room to be in.

Why this matters for Hirevalu

We are building conversational AI agents that conduct screening interviews and return structured, evidence-backed evaluations. That is a product with two hard requirements, and both benefit from an accelerator with real depth.

The first is trust. Screening decisions affect people’s careers. Any system that participates in them has to be auditable, consistent, and defensible — not a black box that emits a number. Every score Hirevalu produces is tied to a transcript and a set of criteria defined before the interview ran.

The second is regional fit. Hiring in MENA is not hiring in North America with different timezones. Candidates interview across dialects, hiring managers work across languages, and most tooling built elsewhere handles Arabic as an afterthought — if at all. We support Egyptian and Saudi Arabic as distinct dialects, not a single flattened locale, alongside English, French, German and Spanish.

Where the product is today

Hirevalu runs the first-pass screening stage end to end:

  • Adaptive interview agents that respond to what a candidate actually says rather than reading from a fixed script
  • Structured evaluation against criteria you define per role, each scored and weighted by importance
  • Evidence-backed reports covering technical, communication and problem-solving performance, with the full transcript attached
  • Interview integrity checks that flag proxy candidates and outside assistance for human review
  • ATS integration, starting with Lever, so results land where your team already works

The design principle throughout: the system ranks and evidences, a human decides. Nothing is auto-rejected.

What comes next

The accelerator cycle gives us a concentrated window to do three things.

Deepen the evaluation layer. Scoring is only as good as the criteria behind it. We’re investing in how criteria are generated from a job description and how clearly the resulting evidence is presented back to a hiring team.

Broaden integrations. Lever is live. More ATS connections are the clearest signal we get from teams evaluating us.

Talk to more hiring teams. If you screen at volume — graduate intakes, BPO and support hiring, engineering pipelines with hundreds of applicants per role — we want to hear how your process breaks down today.

Thanks to everyone who has given us time, feedback and honest criticism to get here. The interesting work starts now.
